PETERSBURG, W.Va. Agnes Marie (Shobe) Takach, age 93, of Petersburg, departed this life on Monday, July 31, 2017, at Grant Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and her caregiver, Sherry LaPointe.
She was born June 28, 1924, in Greensburg, Pa., and was a daughter of the late Joseph P. Bridge and Margaret O. (Carnes) Bridge.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Takach was preceded in death by her husbands, Brown F. Shobe in 1964 and Thomas A. Takach Sr. in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ralph Calhoun; a brother-in-law, two grandchildren and her 21 year old cat, Prissy.
Agnes was a homemaker and a caregiver.
Surviving are four daughters, Margaret A. "Peggy" Calhoun of Petersburg, Diane (Charles) Kovalik of Canton, Mich., Marcie (Brent) Yokum of Petersburg, Eileen (Rege) Griffin of West Mifflin, Pa.; three sons, Thomas A. (Arleen) Takach Jr.of Bethel Park, Pa., Frederick J. "Rick" (Janice) Shobe of Petersburg, Tony R. Shobe and companion, Peggy of Cullman, Ala.; one sister, Laverne Jennings of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Larry M. Cantu officiating.
Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg.
