Alice Joyce Brenneman, 83, of Grantsville, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at her residence.
Born Nov. 12, 1933, in Springs, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Loveta (Ash) Killius. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harley Dayton Brenneman, Feb. 14, 2017; one brother, James Killius; two sisters, Gay Brownlee and Nonna Beitzel.
Mrs. Brenneman was a homemaker and previously ran Farm Vacation Bed and Breakfast. She was a member of Glade Mennonite Church, where she was pianist and served on the music committee for 40 years. Joyce ran the Bittinger Food Pantry and was in charge of food service at the Bittinger Fire Department. She volunteered at Highland Thrift Shop and was a member of the Garrett Co. Fair Board and the Garrett Co. Farm Bureau.
She is survived by six sons, Rick (Connie) Brenneman and Terry (Debbie) Brenneman, all of Accident, Lynn (Donna) Brenneman and Ron (Beth) Brenneman, all of Grantsville, Greg Brenneman, California, Todd (Chelsea) Brenneman, Johnstown, Pa.; three daughters, Brenda (Roger) Knox and Tamara Brenneman, all of Grantsville, Pamela (Keith) Hauger, Somerset, Pa.; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Glade Mennonite Church on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the church on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Todd Brenneman officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Glade Cemetery.
