LAVALE Alice Louise Linnenbrogger, 88, of LaVale, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at her residence.
It always amazes me how, in the end, a person's life must be summed up in the short columns of the obituaries in the local paper....practical to be sure, but certainly an injustice to the true and full composition of a human life, however short or long the life lived. All our days reduced to a list of life accomplishments and the names of the family members who survive us. But then, what could possibly be more defining than the legacy that we leave behind in the family and the people that we have loved and blessed along the way? There is nothing.
So, it is in that spirit that we, your true and lasting legacy, remember you today, Alice Louise Linnenbrogger, and we mourn your passing, peaceful as it was. We remember who you were, truly generous, an artist in everything you did, that you loved Jesus and encouraged us all to be close to Him, and how amazing you were in the kitchen. Your legacy lives on in the family that survives you: your last living sister, your three children, Candice, Linda and Steve. Your nine grandchildren, of which I am one, and your 13 precious great-grandchildren who brought you so much joy and laughter. We remember and celebrate you even as we ourselves go unnamed. Love you, sweet Granny. - Granny's little Alabammy coons.
