Alpha Elizabeth Reynolds, 87, of Cumberland, died Thursday, Jan.11, 2018, at the Golden Healthcare Center.
Born April 2, 1930 in Connellsville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles Pamburton Phares and Frances Marie (Dayton) Phares.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar W. Reynolds, in 1990.
A graduate of Radford College, Mrs. Reynolds had been a teacher and librarian, having worked in Monongalia Co. Public Schools, Allegany Co. Public Schools, and the South Cumberland Library.
She belonged to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Amanda Olaussen and Amy Davis; four grandchildren, Kayleigh Kyle and husband Corey, Cecilie Olaussen, Nathalie Olaussen, and Laiah Davis; a great-granddaughter, Kopper Kyle; and, a brother, Frank Phares.
The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 15 N. Smallwood St., Cumberland, on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Dr. Marsha Bell, officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
