CUMBERLAND - Anna Genevieve Davy, 89, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at Devlin Manor Health Care Center.
Born Jan. 8, 1928, in Flats, W.Va., Mrs. Davy was the daughter of the late Ervin Shoemaker and Cora Flora (Weatherholtz) Shoemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James "Slim" Douglas Davy; two sisters, Leota Davy and Charlotte Riggleman; and one brother, Albert Shoemaker.
A graduate of Romney High School, class of 1946, Anna was a former employee of Clinebell's Bakery and Dolores Truly's Candy Shop. She was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church of Potomac Park and longtime Sunday School teacher.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Debra E. Davy; and her son, Charles D. Davy, both of Cumberland; her sister, Geneva Delawder, Keyser, W.Va.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lisa Boone officiating.
Interment will be in Elijah High Cemetery, Junction, W.Va.
