Anna Lee Welsh, 95, formerly of Church St., Westernport, died at Egle Nursing Home in Lonaconing on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017.
She was born in Keyser, W.Va., on May 31, 1922. She was the daughter of the late John Coglan and Mary (Driscoll) Coglan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Welsh III, who died on Oct. 12, 2000.
Anna Lee was a faithful member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Westernport. She was a graduate of Piedmont High School. She worked at the Piedmont Post Office for several years prior to her marriage.
She is survived by her son, James A. Welsh IV and his wife, Hon, of Tampa, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in law, Paul Welsh and wife, JoAnn, of Westernport, and sister-in law, Joanne Welsh of Westernport.
The family will receive friends at Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, W.Va., on Sunday, Oct.15, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy/Saint Peter, Westernport, on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Saint Peter's Cemetery, Westernport.
The family requests that memorials for Anna Lee be directed to Divine Mercy/Saint Peter, 127 Church St., Westernport, MD 21562.
