Arline V. Shultz, 98, of Grantsville, formerly of Salisbury, Pa., died Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland.
Born Oct. 18, 1918, in Meyersdale, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roy C. and Alice (Maust) Vought. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Shultz, and one daughter, Gretchen (Shultz) Klink Minick.
Mrs. Shultz was a home economics teacher for Cairnbrook, Coraopolis, Grantsville High School, Northern High School and retired from Salisbury-Elk Lick High School. She had her bachelor of science degree from Juniata College and was a member of the Somerset County Farm Women and the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Maxine K. (Jeff) Miller, Grantsville, and one great-granddaughter, Alexandra Miller.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in Meyersdale Church of the Brethren on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Pete Kaltenbaugh officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
