KEYSER, W.Va. Barbara J. "Bobbie" Robinson, 84, of 120 Southern Drive, Keyser, died on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Piney Valley, Keyser.
Born Dec. 14, 1932, in Keyser, she was a daughter of Nathaniel Edward and Amy (Grove) Taylor.
Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Keyser High School class of 1950, Potomac State College and Shepherd College class of 1954. She was a former Keyser High School teacher and employee of RCA Engineering, Mooretown, N.J. and an accomplished Genealogist. Bobbie was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, DAR of Kansas City, Mo., 17th Century Colonial Dames of Kansas City, Mineral County Historical Society and Upper Potomac Vintage Car Club.
Preceded in death by her husband, James O. Robinson, in 2009.
She is survived by two sons, James Scott Robinson and wife, Mary Ann of Annapolis, and Steven Gregg Robinson and wife, Colette of Vienna, Va.; daughter, Nancy Lynn Jensen and husband, Chip of Plano, Texas; brother, N. Edward Taylor II and wife, Wanda of Keyser, and sister, Clara Mabel "Peggy" Husch of Westfield, N.J. She is also survived by four grandchildren, William James Robinson, Glenn Thomas Robinson, Stacy Lynn Jensen and David Charles Jensen.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Services will be held at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 233 South Mineral St., Keyser, on Monday, June 26, 2017, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Wayne Gosnell officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Interment will follow in Queen's Point Cemetery, Keyser.
