Beatrice's Story

Beatrice Barbara Davis, 97, of Ridgeley, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at home.
Born Nov. 20, 1920 in Lonaconing, Md., she was the daughter of the late Millard Fillmore Bradley and Barbara Ann (Beeman) Bradley.
She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Marcella Bradley; two brothers, Fillmore Bradley and Harvey Bradley; and two sisters, Jennie Donaldson and Norma Jean Clark.
Beatrice was retired from the Celanese Corporation, where she had worked on the uptwist and downtwist machines.
She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of William Shuck, Jr., Memorial Post #136, American Legion and Cumberland Chapter 2400, AARP.
Survivors include two brothers, William Raymond Bradley and Donald Bradley; two sisters, Margaret Stafford and Betty Lou Grogg; several nieces and nephews; her goddaughter, Kimberly Rowley; and special friends, Susie Albon, and Ray Rowley.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, Md. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Thomas Young, officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
