Bernadine Louise Plummer, 75, of Ridgeley, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on Feb. 16, 1942, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Willa (Mummert) Swanger. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Averey; brothers, Jerry, Randy, and Donald; and sister, Joyce.
Bernadine was a member of the South Cumberland Assembly of God and a volunteer as a camp host at Rocky Gap. She loved sewing, camping, cooking, baking. She had a love for people and animals, and above all, loved being a grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Plummer; three daughters, Theresa A. Lechliter, Melissa Bridges and husband, Craig, and Shawnee Lechliter-Kerns and husband, Kevin; one son, Dwight "Ike" Lechliter and wife, Krista; two step-daughters, Amber L. Miller and husband, Dan, and Tracy Verno and husband, Dave; two sisters, LeeAnn Stickley and Karen Bolinger and husband, Nick; two brothers, Leo Swanger and wife, Sandy, and Rick Swanger; grandchildren, Haylee, Brady, Jacob, and Lukas; step-grandchildren, Nathan, Angela, Trae, Amelia, Nicholas, Serenity, Destiny, Jacob, and Aaron; two step-great-grandchildren, Jaedyn and Hannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at 5 p.m. with Pastor Gene Riffey officiating.
