Bersey Calvin Marple, 88, of Prince Frederick MD, passed away Saturday August 5, 2017, at Western Maryland Health Systems in Cumberland, MD.
Born June 5, 1929, in Luke, MD, Bersey (Bob) Marple was the son of the late Bersey Calvin Marple & Regina Marple, both of Luke, MD. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Jean Marple, his mother Regina Marple, his father Bersey Calvin Marple and his daughter Andrea K Reeder of Cresaptown, MD.
Bob was an employee of Westvaco/Verso Corporation in Luke, MD for 42 years. He was an active partner of Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, Prince Frederick MD, where he served as Life Group participant and Rock-Solid Discipleship class member. He served in the Ministry of Hospitality. He enjoyed playing his trumpet with his 3 brothers. He enjoyed investing time with his family and traveling with his wife of 62 years, Anna Jean Marple. His faith, family and friends were his priorities in life. Bob lived a life filled with love and a rela-tionship with Almighty God. He passed his Christian heritage on to his family and friends. Bob was surrounded by his family as he finished his race in this life, singing the awesome praises of a Mighty Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
Bob is survived by his brothers, Rev. Don Marple of Keyser, WV, David Marple of Frederick, MD, Gary Marple of Gettysburg, PA, by his daughter, Donita S Dayton and hus-band, Buck Dayton of Cresaptown, MD, son Todd Marple and wife Connie of Prince Frederick, MD, his grandchildren, Matthew Reeder of Fort Ashby, WV and Heidi Marple Raduano and husband Anthony Raduano of Parkville, MD, as well as 4 great grand-children Andrea Reeder, Madison Reeder, Jacob Reeder, of Fort Ashby, WV and Alexa Raduano of Parkville, MD and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of his life and memorial service held for family and friends at the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, 870 Solomons Island Rd. South Prince Frederick, MD on Thursday, August 10, at 11:00am.
