Betty Jean Kreiling, 79, of Cresaptown, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 20, 1937, in Newberg, W.Va., Mrs. Kreiling was the daughter of the late James Roby and Mary (Shroyer) Roby. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Richardson.
Betty retired from Liberty Bank as branch manager. She was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church and Christian Women's Civic Club. Betty loved cooking, and playing the organ was one of her favorite pastimes.
Betty is survived by her second husband, Jack Kreiling; her stepchildren, Linda Idol and husband, Bill, of Virginia, Bob Richardson and wife, Pat, of North Carolina, Jim Richardson of California, Linda Koch and husband, Stuart, of Virginia, and David Kreiling, LaVale. She also leaves behind her sisters, Sue Pell of Arizona and Helen Bragg of West Virginia; her brother, Richard Roby and wife, Carol, of Maryland; as well as many loving extended family members.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com), on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Hattenfield officiating and Minister Jimmy D. Flanagan assisting. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
