Bonnie's Story

SPRINGFIELD, W.Va. Bonnie Kay Sheetz, 71, of Springfield, died Friday at The Dawnview Center.
Born July 9, 1946, in Cumberland, she is the daughter of the late Charles F. and Madeline B. (McDonald) Sweeney.
She is also preceded in death by a brother, C. Larry Sweeney; a sister, Wanda R. Wariner; and, her father-in-law, Elmer L. Sheetz.
Mrs. Sheetz had worked as a sales clerk at Hill's Department Store. She had also been a receptionist for Dr. Duggan and Allegany Internal Medicine.
She belonged to Springfield Assembly of God. While living in Oldtown, she taught Sunday School at Bethel Assembly of God.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 55 years, Earl L. Sheetz; three children, Michael E. Sheetz and wife, Sherri, Debbie S. (Sheetz) Lark and husband, Mark, and Brian L. Sheetz; two grandchildren, Hope and Charity Lark; one brother, William F. "Bill" Sheetz and wife, Kathy; a sister, Janet I. Iser and Bob Michaels; and her mother-in-law, Lillie P. Sheetz.
Friends will be received at Springfield Assembly of God on Monday from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the church, with Pastor Allen Fields, officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens
