Brianna's Story

Brianna Rae (Custer) Shaffer, 23, of Hyndman, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, as the result of an automobile accident.
Born on July 31, 1994, in Cumberland, she was a daughter of Brian Custer and wife, Jessica, of Burlington, W.Va., and Tiffney Fedele and special friend, Tye Aspedon, of Hyndman. Brianna was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Charles and Virginia Shreve and Arthur and Kathleen Amtower and her paternal great-grandparents, Ray and Nina Dawson and Cecil and Mildred Custer.
Brianna was a 2012 graduate of Keyser High School. She was formerly employed at Wayne's Meats in Keyser, W.Va., and was currently working at Cracker Barrel in LaVale. She attended both Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly in Keyser and Wills Mountain Church of Christ in Hyndman.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, is her husband, Levi I. Shaffer; her daughter, Claire Shaffer at home; a sister, Kirstin Custer of Fairmont, W.Va.; a brother, Morgan Custer at home; maternal grandparents, Leon and Loretta Amtower of Burlington; paternal grandparents, Bill and Darlene Custer of Keyser; her father and mother-in-law, George and Tereca Shaffer of Hyndman; a sister-in-law, Kate Shaffer and fiancé, Jorge Luiggi; a niece, Everleigh Luiggi; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Staggs officiating.
Interment will be in the Thrush Cemetery, Antioch, W.Va.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Smith Funeral Home, 85 S. Main St., Keyser, WV 26726 to assist in defraying funeral expenses.
