Carl Miller "Pete" Robb, 82, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at his home.
Born Sept. 23, 1934, in Hyndman, Pa., Mr. Robb was the son of the late Eldon J. Robb and Sarah Gail (Miller) Robb. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. and Joseph Robb; a sister, Barbara S. (Robb) Shaffer; and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Pete was formerly employed at Schwarzenbach Clothing. He was a member of the former Fort Cumberland Lodge 211 AF&AM, Cumberland, the Scottish Right, the Loyal Order of Elks Lodge 63, Cumberland, and the Cumberland Outdoor Club. Pete attended the Living Word Lutheran Church.
Pete is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Rosella (Stein) Robb; his son, Terry Robb and wife, Peggy; and his daughter, Tracy Lynn (Robb) Whetzel and husband, Joey, all of Cumberland. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Patrick Robb and wife, Kasey, Heather Robb, Savannah Whetzel, and Logan Whetzel, all of Cumberland; and his great-grandchildren, Liam, Handley, and Beckett Robb, Isaac Mathews, and Adaline LaRue.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at 8 p.m. with the Reverend Mark Dill officiating.
The family would like to thank the WMHS Hospice program and nurses for their amazing care and concern and Dr. Poonai, Dr. Zaman, and Sheila Malone.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the WMHS Hospice Program, 1050 West Industrial Boulevard, Cumberland, MD 21502; or the Living Word Lutheran Church, 800 Hilltop Drive, Cumberland, MD 21502.
