Carolyn Isabel Garlitz Carolyn Isabel Garlitz, 77, of Frostburg passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born March 13, 1941, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late James O. and Freda (Warnick) Spiker and birth mother, Evelyn L. Spiker.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by sisters, Pearl Hutcheson and Dora Steinly; and brothers, James Spiker and E. Leo Spiker.
Carolyn was a Christian by faith and was a member of the 1959 graduation class of Beall High School. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother and enjoyed time with her girlfriends, shopping and going out to eat. She never met a stranger.
Surviving are her children, Alicia Wiggins and husband, Joseph, Mark Garlitz and wife, Patti, Rhonda Reed and husband, Tom; and their father, Jerry L. Garlitz; grandchildren, Jonathon Logsdon and wife, Pam, Emily Wiggins, Roger Pierce, Holly Pierce, Sierra Lynn Pierce and Jess Reed and special friend Anna Kate Bean; brother, Leonard Spiker; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Services will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Everett Spence officiating.

Thinking of you all and keeping you in prayer. I spoke with your mom not too long ago. We tried to get her to join her old work buddies from Child Development. She was a special friend and co-worker. We had a lot of fun times together. May she rest in peace🙏🏻🕊 God bless you all!
