Charles W. "Bill" Kiser, 80, of Romney, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born on Jan. 25, 1939, in Keyser, he was the son of the late William Blair Kiser and Betty Mae Spotts Kiser.
He was a graduate of Fort Hill High School and the Cincinnati College of Embalming. He was a retired funeral director and embalmer and retired from R.H. Armstrong, Inc., after 38 years of road building and highway construction.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with 82nd Airborne in the Cuban Crisis and during the Vietnam Era. He was Past Master of the OHR Lodge 131 A.F. & A.M., a Shrine member, York Rite, Scottish Rite, and the Moose Lodge, life member of the NRA and North American Club and life member of the Outdoor Hunting Club.
He is survived by the love of his life of 40 years, Patricia Ann Leatherman; her children, Scott, Leslie and John Davis and Kelli Jennings; grandchildren, Zachary Davis and Levi Ebert; also, PJ and Jonathan Clem, who were like his sons; a brother, Francis Spotts Kiser and his wife, Martha, and their children, Chrissie and Tiffany.
His body was donated to the Human Gift Registry of WVU per his wishes.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Romney.
