Charles "Buddy"'s Story
Charles "Buddy" Raymond Jones, I, 65, of Cumberland passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at his home.
Born Nov. 8, 1952 in Cumberland, Mr. Jones was the son of the late Raymond E. Jones and Gloria Eileen (Wratchford) Jones.
Buddy owned and operated Jones' Junkyard for a number of years. He enjoyed and participated in dirt track racing and also enjoyed playing bingo.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Loretta Jones; his sons, Charles "Buddy" Jones II, and wife, Amanda, Raymond Jones and wife, Rebekah, and Shannon "Scott" Jones and special friend, Arika; and his daughters, Kerry Collins and husband, Jason, and Amanda Weimer and husband, Joe. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Furstenberg and companion, Fred, and Debbie Lewis and husband, Roger; as well as 16 grandchildren; two special cousins who were like brothers:,John Jones and Trent Kimble; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, Feb.26, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Pastor John Klink officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Gary Logsdon, Little Gary Logsdon, Garland James, Larry Timbrook, Butch Edmiston, Brandon Snyder, and Mark Lavin.
