Charles F. DeMoss Sr., 72, of Everett, Pa., died on Aug. 16, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 26, 1944, in Cumberland, a son of the late John F. and Grace I. (Bruner) DeMoss. On Feb. 7, 1966, in Cumberland, he married Sophia (Hrobochak) DeMoss, who survives, of Everett.
Along with his wife of 51 years, he is also survived by a daughter, Missy I. Territo and husband, Jeffrey, of Everett; a son, Charles F. DeMoss Jr. and wife, Kristina, of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Whitney Territo and fiancée, John, of Lancaster, Ohio, Chelsea Territo, of Forest Grove, Ore., and Cody DeMoss, of Bedford; one sister, Jane Lynn and husband, Norman, of Duncansville; two brothers, Lynn DeMoss of Cumberland and David DeMoss of Duncansville.
Charles served in the Army and retired after 35 years as an electrician. He worked out of Cumberland with the 307 Union. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at noon in the chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, with Thalia Fleetwood officiating. Friends will be received on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
Burial at Sunset Memorial Park, with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
