Charles William Shank Jr., 71, of Corriganville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Golden Living Center.
Born Aug. 22, 1945, in Tyler, Texas, Mr. Shank was the son of the late Charles William Shank Sr., and Hazel (Poole) Shank. He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Joseph Stine.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1963, Charles was a former member of the Maryland National Guard and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 100 for over 30 years. He was an original member of the Clocker's Car Club and a member of the Western Maryland Street Rod Association.
Charles is survived by his longtime companion, Lynn Marie Stine; his sons, Clinton Shank and wife, Shellie, of Maryland, and Christopher Shank and wife, Rachelle, of California; and his daughter, Melissa Shank and fiancé, Bailey Hansel, of Maryland. He also leaves behind his stepchildren, Jason Stine and wife, Ashley, of West Virginia, Kimberly Hillebrecht and husband, Ryan, of Maryland, and Michelle Conners of Maryland; as well as 11 grandchildren.
