Christopher Charles Pryor, 45, of LaVale died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, in the line of duty.
Born March 19, 1972, in Cumberland, he was the son of Earl T. Pryor Jr. and Margaret (Leslie) Pryor.
Chris was assistant chief with LaVale Volunteer Fire Department where he was a volunteer fireman for 16 years. He was a past member and lieutenant of the LaVale Rescue Squad. He was a self-employed contractor. Chris had an infectious smile, and he touched the lives of many. He loved being a fireman, and he will be missed by many.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kimberly A. Pryor; son, Christopher J. Pryor of LaVale; daughters, Tyla R. Garlock of LaVale, and Matea Pryor of LaVale; brother, Earl T. Pryor III and wife, Brandi of LaVale; and Jodi Yaculak and husband, Greg of Bowie.
Friends will be received at LaVale Volunteer Fire Station 1, 421 National Highway, LaVale, on Friday, March 2, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at LaVale Volunteer Fire Station 1 on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Diane May officiating.
