Clifford Earl Welch, Sr., 80, of Oakland, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland.
Born Feb. 6, 1937, in Crellin, he was the son of the late Clayton E. and Della Naomi (DeWitt) Welch.
Clifford was a self-employed truck driver. He worked for Aetna Freight Lines and was a member of the Loch Lynn Church of God.
In addition to his wife, Doris Virginia (Marple) Welch, Oakland, he is survived by two sons, Thomas Henry Clayton Welch and wife, Joanna, Oakland, and Clifford Earl Welch Jr. and wife, Carol, Greenville, Ky.; two daughters, Mary Catherine Hinebaugh and husband, Donald Lee Sr., Deer Park, and Reba Jean Rush and husband, Bradley, Oakland; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Loch Lynn Church of God, 8649 Gorman Road, Oakland, on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Pastors Ivan and Cindy Ackerman officiating.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
