Daniel Leroy Puffinburg, 97, of Springs, Pa., died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born Nov. 2, 1920, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Roy and Edna Pearl (Kaylor) Puffinburg. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Olive Kathryn (Brenneman) Puffinburg; two sons, David and Mark; three half-sisters, Catherine, Trevola and Mary; six half-brothers, Leroy, Robert, William, Ben, Chester and Lester.
Mr. Puffinburg was owner and operator of Puff's Mobile Home Sales and Puff's Mobile Home Court. He also sub-contracted to Keystone Lime Co. and first worked at Otto Brick & Tile Co. He was a member of Springs Mennonite Church and enjoyed music and sang in various groups. Daniel was raised in an Amish-Mennonite Children's Home.
He is survived by one son, James Puffinburg, Springs; two daughters, Mary Brant and husband, John, Springs; Lois Ann Butler and husband, Ken, Grantsville; two half-brothers, Paul and Jimmy, both of Winchester, Va.; two half-sisters, Daisy and Betty, both of Winchester; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in Springs Mennonite Church on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Luann Yutzy, Pastor Robert Yutzy and Pastor Joe Byler officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery.
