Donald Wayne Reynolds, 83, of Fort Ashby, died Monday, May 13, 2019, at The Dawnview Center.
Born Feb.16, 1936 in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of the late Frank Davis Reynolds and Alice Marie (Gentry) Reynolds.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Boyd, James, Joseph and Glenn Reynolds; and two sisters, Margaret (Reynolds) Gilaspy and Stephanie Ruth Reynolds.
He had completed his high school education and attended Bible College.
Mr. Reynolds had served in the U.S. Army.
He worked for the Whirlpool Corporation for 14 years. Mr. Reynolds then began his ministry work, serving in churches and prisons.
Mr. Reynolds belonged to Berean Independent Baptist Church.
In his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed do mechanical repairs.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. (Splittorff) Reynolds; three daughters, Debra Ruth (Reynolds) Dodd, Diana Lorene (Reynolds) Brenneman, and Donna Marie (Reynolds) Shoemake; one sister, Wanda (Reynolds) Esau; and grandchildren, Derrick James Smith, Danielle Jae Dodd, Crimson Lace Shoemake, Isaac Wayne Brennaman, Xander Drake Shoemake, and Rachelle Lorene Brennaman.
Visitation at Berean Independent Baptist Church, Dans Run Road, Fort Ashby, on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the church, with Leon Hinkle, officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ed Shoemake, Jr., Ed Shoemake, III, Charlie Brennaman, Derrick Smith, Isaac Brenneman, and Xander Shoemake.

It's going to be hard going to work and not see u in the hallway or in the TV room. I'm going to miss u saying, "where's my ice cream". You loved u some ice cream. I miss u so much, but you can now rest without any pain.
