Donald "Romeo"'s Story
Donald Richard "Romeo" Warnick, 77, of Lonaconing, and formerly of Pontiac, Mich., died Monday, July 10, 2017, at Rest Assured Assisted Living, Meyersdale, Pa.
Born on July 26, 1939, in Moscow, he was the son of the late Troxell Warnick and Annie (Broadwater) Warnick. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Judith Ann (Miller) Warnick; five brothers, Leonard, Roy, Harry, Ellis and Leslie Warnick; and four sisters, Leona Shockey, Bernadine Moffatt, Freda Rogers and Hazel Mason.
Romeo was a wonderful provider, and always made sure that his family was taken care of. After over 45 years of service, he retired from General Motors in Pontiac. He enjoyed gardening, reading Western novels, country music, collecting odd things, and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his children, John Davey Warnick, Bridget Anne Robertson, Annie Laurie Warnick and Carissa Anne Warnick; four grandchildren, Kyana, Keeran, Kourtney, and Robert K. Robertson; a brother, Bernard Warnick of Mt. Zion, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 17, 2017, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Andrew Broucher officiating.
Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
