E. Jane Painter, 89, of Bowling Green, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born March 2, 1928, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Loy Edward Auman and Lora Grace (Devine) Auman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Painter Sr.
She was a graduate of Allegany High School and had attended James Madison University.
Mrs. Painter had been a real estate agent for the Heavner Agency and the Macy-Mason Agency.
She was a member of Re Temple 118, D.O.N. and former member of Cumberland Chapter 12, O.E.S.
Survivors include her three sons, Harold W. Painter Jr., William L. "Bill" Painter and wife, Brenda, and James H. Painter; two grandchildren, Robert and April Painter; a step-grandson, Timothy Stewart; and a step-great-grandson Andrew Stewart.
Friends will be received at Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Young officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
