KEYSER, W.Va. Edgar P. Kimble, 81, of Keyser, died Friday, June 30, 2017, at the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
Born July 13, 1935, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Ernest C. and Minnie Bell (Conrad) Kimble.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. (Dawson) Kimble; a daughter, Connie Kimble; brother, Estyl Kimble; twin sister, Edra Kimble; sisters, Edith Nickerson, Evaline Norton, Elvia Hostetler, Elaine Alt, and E. Irene Alt. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.
Mr. Kimble was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways in Short Gap, having various duties over the years.
He belonged to Cabin Run Wesleyan Methodist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming.
Mr. Kimble is survived by three children, Edward P. Kimble, Linda (Kimble) McKenzie and husband, Edward McKenzie Jr., and Gary L. McKenzie; and several grandchildren including Nathan McKenzie.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Thursday, July 6, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, July 7, 2017, from 11 a.m. until noon.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, at noon in the funeral home with the Rev. John Dye, officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
