JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Edith J. Larson, 79, of Jacksonville, formerly of Keyser, W.Va., died Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born on Dec. 17, 1937, at Pittsburgh, Pa., she was a daughter of the late George Thomas and Anna (Tabacchi) Sample. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Erland C. "Ernie" Larson on Oct. 12, 1989; a son, Carl Thomas Larson in 1982 and by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Crawford.
Mrs. Larson retired as a secretary with various employers, including the business she and her husband owned and operated. She was an avid reader, enjoyed going with her friends in Florida for coffee and to the Chick-Fil-A. She loved and reveled in her grandchildren, constantly doting on them.
Surviving are her children, Debby Williamson and husband, Randy and Clint Larson, all of Keyser; two grandchildren, Kandi Williamson and Randy "Gizmo" Williamson and a great-granddaughter, Evelyn Williamson.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Garlitz officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
