Eileen F. Roberts Eileen F. Roberts, 85, of Keyser, WV, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Piney Valley Nursing Home, Keyser.
Born on May 3, 1933 at Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Ember and Mary Catherine (Swick) Whetzel. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. "Dick" Roberts on January 20, 2004; her son, Ronald E. Roberts; two brothers, Paul and David Whetzel and four sisters, Effie and Florena Bunner, Viola Grace Mackley and Wanda Whetzel.
Mrs. Roberts was formerly employed as a seamstress with the Keyser Garment Factory, taught industrial sewing at the Mineral County Vocational technical Center and retired from the Clary Street Learning Center. She was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek, WV. She loved working in her flower gardens, sewing and reading.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Kay Hott and husband Harvey of Burlington, WV; three grandchildren, Mary E. George and husband Pete of Keyser, Eric W. Hott and wife LaTasha of Burlington and Shawn W. Hott and fiancee Malinda Litten of Burlington; two great-grandchildren, Cortland A. Wierzbicki and Isaiah A. Hott and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 1-3 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Samuel Biser officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
