CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Elaine Helen Silber Warehime, 75, of Esmont, entered into eternal peace, surrounded by family on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Born on May 13, 1941, Elaine was the first daughter of the late Carnie Willis Silber and Helen Shoemaker Silber of Accident, Garrett County.
Elaine was a graduate of Northern High School and Northern Virginia Community College. She retired to Palmetto, Manatee County, Fla., in 2008 after 30 years of service at the Pentagon in the DOD and EOC. Elaine had a deep appreciation for Japanese art and culture and will be fondly remembered for her poise, kindness and generosity.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Raymond Warehime.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Debora Baugh; three grandchildren, Chelsea Henderson, Selena Durrette and Marcus Durrette; four sisters, Kay Himes, Frances (Larry) Vandivier, Mary Wheeler, Norma (Dave) Schlosnagle; one aunt, Gladys Silber, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 101 N. Main St., Accident.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
