Elizabeth Ann Mattingly, 90, of Cumberland died December 23, 2017.
Elizabeth was the daughter of the late John Michael Mattingly, originally from Mount Savage, MD, and Bridget Teresa Winters Mattingly of County Leitrim, Ireland.
Elizabeth graduated from Catholic Girls Central High School in 1946 and attended Notre Dame in Baltimore before working in Washington DC and eventually making her way to Hawaii. An actress with a beautiful singing voice, Elizabeth was prominent in community theater wherever she lived. She was a member of the Screen Extras Guild and worked as an extra on the original Hawaii Five-O series.
Elizabeth was known for her liveliness, her faithfulness to friends, her love of the Catholic Church, her pride of both her Maryland and Irish heritage, her love of cats and her garden.
She is survived by her brother Father John F. Mattingly and some 50 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Mattingly, her brother Joseph A. Mattingly and her nephew Joseph A. Mattingly, Jr.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Friday 11:00 AM at St. Mary's in Cumberland.
