AUGUSTA, W.Va. Eva B. Wolford, 93, of Augusta, passed away on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at the home of her daughter, Terrie Saville.
Born on June 2, 1924, in Hampshire County, she was the daughter of the late Hazel L. Bennett and Ruth (Delaplaine) Bennett.
Eva was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Zion Church of Christ where she served as secretary-treasurer for many years. She and her husband owned and operated Hoy Orchard for 25 years.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myles M. Wolford of 35 years in 1976, and two brothers, Robert Bennett and Armand Bennett.
Surviving is a son, Jarryl Wolford (Betty) of Oakland; a daughter, Terrie Saville (Eddie) of Augusta; a sister, Donna Swisher of Augusta; six grandchildren, Tammy Vajo (Steve), Jennifer Winebrenner (Mike), Chris Groves (Carey), Lisa Cadotte (Mike), Sara Clem (Harth), Wesley Groves and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, with Clayton Thorne officiating.
Interment will follow in Malick Cemetery, Augusta.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, Sept. 24, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Vajo, Mike Winebrenner, Mike Cadotte, Harth Clem, Chris Groves and Wes Groves.
