Evelyn Katherine "Tootie" Rennie, 82, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., passed away on April 3, 2019, peacefully at her residence with her loving husband beside her.

Mrs. Rennie was a 1954 graduate of Fort Hill High School and resided in Fort Ashby for the last 33 years. Tootie fought a courageous battle with cancer for more than two years.
She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 33 years, Richard Rennie; her brother,Sonny Deter; two sons, Jim McGreevy and wife, Edie, and Dave McGreevy; four daughters, Sandy Campbell, Kathy Price and husband, Barney, Tara Garlitz and husband Jeff, and Ann Priddle and Cory Hargett, and three bonus daughters Debbie Lohr and husband Bob, Alexia Garlitz and husband, Kevin, and Denise Morgan and husband, Phil; grandchildren, Ryan, Hannah, Jenna and Aidan McGreevy, Taryn Price, Rhea Tidwell, Laura Maxey, Dean and Destiny Priddle, Brooke Salesky and Madison Garlitz and Michael McGreevy; bonus grandchildren, Richard, Christopher and Charlie Cornelius, Briana Sisler, Stephen, Sean and Stephanie Fazenbaker; along with numerous great-grandchildren.
She was always ready for a road trip, loved to laugh, and when she had the chance to sit it out or dance, she always chose to dance like no one was watching.
Tootie always said, "When I die and they lay me to rest, Gonna go to the place that's the best, When I lay me down to die, Goin' up to the spirit in the sky, Goin' up to the spirit in the sky, That's where I'm gonna go when I die, When I die and they lay me to rest, Gonna go to the place that's the best."
At her request, Tootie was cremated, and a celebration of life will follow at a later date to fulfill her love of dancing, laughter and time with family.
