Faye Allen, 70, of Shirley Lane, Burlington, died on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at her residence.
Born on Nov. 9, 1946, at Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Pearl "Pete" and Susan (Hall) George. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Dottie Jenkins; and three brothers, Lonnie, Buck and John George.
Mrs. Allen was a 1964 graduate of Keyser High School. She was formerly employed as a dietitian at Charles Town Memorial Hospital in Charles Town, and was retired from Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, James C. Allen Sr.; three children, Tammy Denton and husband, Gregory, of Cumberland, James C. Allen Jr. of Keyser, and Shane P. Allen Sr. and wife, Pam, of California; two brothers, Douglas George, address unknown and Kenneth George of Palmyra, Va.; two sisters, Eva Willis of Arley, Ala., and Judy Lease of Marshalltown, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in the Ferrebee Family Cemetery, Tucker Ridge Road, Antioch.
