FOAKLAND Flora Jean (Crosco) Burton, 92, of Jarrettsville, and formerly of Oakland, died on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Stella Maris, Inc. in Timonium.
Born on April 8, 1925, in Vindex, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Estella (Knox) Crosco.
She, along with her late husband, had been small business owners and she had also worked for Sterling Processing and C & P Telephone. She retired from the United States Postal Service after serving as a rural mail carrier. Flora loved spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Spiker-Lander and husband, Don of Harrisburg, PA.; a daughter in law, Carol Burton of Jarrettsville; grandchildren, Kristi Bowling and Kristopher Burton and wife, Laura; great grandchildren, Carl Burton, Jack Burton, Elizabeth Lander and Evan Lander; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Burton, in 2005; a son, Ray Burton; a sister, Esther Holler; and brothers, Kenneth, Clarence, Russell, Wilmer, Harrison and Larry Crosco.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Carl Fike officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. www.csfredlockfh.com
