NEW CREEK, W.Va. Flora Etta "Susie" Crider, 69, of Northwestern Turnpike, New Creek, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at her residence.
Born on Jan. 15, 1949, at Pine Knob, she was a daughter of the late Hobert and Bertha (Hendrix) Jarrell.
Mrs. Crider graduated from Potomac State College, Frostburg State College and West Virginia University with a Master's Degree in Education. She retired in 2011 after 20 years of service with the Grant County Board of Education. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Tex Crider; one son, Tex Crider II and wife, Jennifer of Shippenville, Pa.; one daughter, Holly Burns and husband, Jeff of Burlington; six grandchildren, Matthew Corle, Jonathon Corle, Kerstan Corle, Colin Crider, Tessa Crider and Kailynn Burns. Also surviving is a brother, Charles Jarrell of Ravenswood; one sister, Patty Jelsomine of Westmont, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
