Flora Jane Goodwin Flora Jane "Snuffy" Goodwin, 90, formerly of Frostburg Heights, and most recently of Martinsburg, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019.
Flora Jane was born on Sept. 9, 1928 in Lonaconing and was the daughter of the late Robert Marshall Smith and Bernadette (Nolan) Smith. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond Austin Goodwin.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Goodwin and his wife, Vonna of Frederick, Michael Goodwin and his wife, Ginny of Moseley, VA, and Mark Goodwin of Martinsburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Flora Jane spent 36 years of her life residing in Frostburg at Frostburg Heights, she and her husband were some of the original residents. She was a member of VFW Post #5280 Ladies Auxiliary. Flora Jane enjoyed spending time with her family at the cabin on the South Branch of the Potomac River.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton on Friday, Feb. 15th from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Divine Mercy Parish St. Michael Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Saturday, Feb.16th at 11a.m. with Father Edward Hendricks as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone.

Mark I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could be half the child to a parent as you have been to your mom. I’ll always remember her sitting out in the yard basking in the sunshine. You brought her such joy. Love you.

I’m sorry for your loss. I have great memories of Flora Jane and Aus and you all down at camp. She loved playing cards with our family and just hanging out having a good time. Good memories to hold on to.

My prayers go out to all of Snuffy's family. She had extra and happy years because of her son Mark. Without him her time, I believe would have been shorter. She always had a smile and was a lovely lady. Find comfort in knowing that you did all you could for her in these last years, Mark, and that her life (and yours) was enriched because of it!
