ACCIDENT Floyd Allen Ellis, 72, of Accident, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at WVU Hospital's Inc., Ruby Memorial, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born Dec. 9, 1945, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late William and Marie (Beitzel) Ellis. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Reckart) Ellis.
Mr. Ellis was a truck driver and was past president of Snowdrifters Snowmobile Club. He was a member of Cherry Glade Mennonite Church and Whitetails Unlimited.
He is survived by two sons, Nathan Wayne Ellis and fiancée, Kayla and Danny Denzil Ellis and wife, Angie, all of Accident; one brother, Wayne A. Ellis, Accident; one sister, Linda I. Hewett and husband, Bob, Grantsville; one sister-in-law, May Ellis, Friendsville; two granddaughters, Kirstin Diane and Hayley Marie.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Highway, McHenry (Accident), on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry Maust officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service from 10-11 a.m.
Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery.
