Forrest Edward See Sr., 76, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, as a result of an automobile accident.
Born April 12, 1941, in Cumberland, Mr. See was the son of the late Hayes Edward See and Clara Marie (Reed) See. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Diann Marie (Baker) See, April 23, 2013; and two sisters, Edna Houdersheldt and Betty Miller.
Forrest attended Fort Hill High School and was an United States Army veteran. He retired from Westinghouse as a supervisor. Forrest was a member of the American Legion Post 256, Parkton, the V.F.W. Post 7012, New Freedom, and was a life-member of the NRA. Forrest enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the mountains, going salmon fishing in New York, and pike fishing in Canada.
Forrest is survived by his sons, Forrest "Sonnie" E. See Jr., Shrewsbury, and Ernest E. See and wife, Vicki, New Freedom; and his daughter, Jeannie Marie Shoffner, Lancaster. He also leaves behind his sisters, Donna Spencer, Roseanna Park and husband, Gene; his brother, Harold See and wife, Diane, all of Cumberland; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. Forrest is also survived by his best hunting buddies, Robert Moyers and his son, Forrest.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
