Gary R."Pete" Aldridge, 72, of Selbyville, Del., died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Gary was born in Cumberland and was the son of the late Charles H. and Ruth (Pitzer) Aldridge.
He had worked as an automobile painter and owned and operated Remington's Bar in Beltsville. He was a member of American Legion Post 136 in Greenbelt, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Aldridge; two daughters, Wendy L. Tyler and husband, Danny, and Susan A. Wilson and husband, Christian, all of Kent Island; two sisters, Nancy Hedglen of Clayton, Calif., and Jane Farrow of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Richard Aldridge of Denton; four grandchildren, Zachary Wilson, Chase Wilson, Evan Tyler and Mackenzie Wilson.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home, 19 South Main St., Selbyville, with the Rev. Dr. James Van Der Wall officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service.
