WARREN, Ohio George Robert Clise, 75, of Warren, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at Hospice House in North Lima, Ohio, following a courageous battle with lung and bone cancer.
He was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Cumberland, and the son of the late George Russell and Alice Rosetta Capel Clise.
He attended Allegany High School and served in the US Army in Verdun, France.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Sue Hamrick of Warren; six children, Eddie Padfield (Kelly) of Barrelsville, Brenda Lucas (Kenny McKenzie) of Frostburg, Debbie Clise (LTC-Ret, U.S. Army) of Gaithersburg, Rob Clise of Washington, D.C., Krista Stevens (Pat) of Cumberland, and Michelle Clise of Gaithersburg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Beeghly of Cumberland; sister-in-law, Karyn Clise of Diamond, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Willis Browning of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Junior Clise, Charles Clise and David Clise; sisters, Eleanor Butler and Beatrice Browning; and brother-in-law, Donald Beeghly.
His cremated remains will be buried with his parents at Frostburg Memorial Park in Frostburg.
