CUMBERLAND Glenn Eugene Beeman, 78, of Cumberland, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at The Lions Center.
Born June 1, 1939, in Gilmore, he was the son of the late Cecil Ellis Beeman Sr. and Eva Anna (Fazenbaker) Beeman Metcalf.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel Kelley, Mary Blubaugh, Edna Miller, and Sylvia Beeman; two brothers, Cecil Jr. and James; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Beeman.
Glenn was employed at Rose Hill Cemetery for 60 years; 50 years as superintendent. He also served as maintenance foreman for Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Glenn was a member of the Frostburg Eagles-Aerie 1273, Cumberland Outdoor Club, Barrelville Outdoor Club, and Sons of the American Legion Post 13. He was the champion "Pigeon Shooter" of George's Creek.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Maxine; two brothers, Richard "Butch" Beeman, and Calvin Beeman and wife, Bonnie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At Glenn's request, the services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, or to the Lions Center Family Council Fund.
