CUMBERLAND H. Jack Price, Sr., 90, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born March 11, 1927, in Cumberland, Mr. Price was the son of the late William Durl Price and Sarah Margaret (Crosten) Price. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Price; a sister, Betty Teeter; and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
A United States Naval Veteran during World War II, Jack was formerly employed at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory and was owner/operator of Tri-State H2O Treatment. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion. Jack was an artist known for his pen and ink designs mostly of the C&O Canal.
Jack is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Jean (Scott) Price; his sons, Judge H. Jack Price Jr., and wife, Rebecca, Cumberland, and Dr. James W. Price and wife, Michele, Madisonville, Ky.; his daughter, Bonnie Aldridge and husband, Pete, Fenwick Island, Del.; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
