Hannah Elizabeth Lancaster, 88, of Newton, formerly of Rawlings, died on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at the United Methodist Communities at Bristol Glen.
Born March 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Drubeck and Evelyn Herboldsheimer Drubeck.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Lancaster.
Mrs. Lancaster was a 1947 graduate of the Ursuline Academy.
Hannah was employed for a brief time at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory. During the time of her employment, she met her future husband, Gilbert. Soon after meeting, they married in 1954.
Mrs. Lancaster had many interests to include bird watching and the study of archaeology.
Hannah's passion was traveling. To satisfy her passion, she traveled extensively throughout the United States and overseas.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen A. Lancaster, Tahoe City, Calif., and Michael D. Lancaster, White Plains. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Danny Lancaster, Mount Savage.
Friends will be received at Upchurch Funeral Home P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Shrine of SS. Peter and Paul, Cumberland, on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Watson, OFM, Cap., as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mount Savage.
