Jacquelyn Ann (Carder) Jones, 81, of Frostburg, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on Aug. 8, 1936, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. Carder, Sr. and Llewella (Sperry) Carder.
Mrs. Jones was a retired school teacher, having taught in Prince Georges and Allegany County school systems. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Farrady Post 24.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Robert T. Jones; daughter, Kimberly Ann Adams of Pasadena; son, Michael R. Jones and wife, Whitney of Severna Park; grandchildren, Bryce, Nicholas and Bryanne Adams, Aubree and Sophie Jones; brother, Edward F. Carder Jr., of Lonaconing; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Diane Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions, in Jacquelyn's name, be made to Salem United Church of Christ, 78 S. Broadway, Frostburg.
The family offers a special thank you to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center and especially the ICU unit and the staff of 7 North.
