James V. Albright, 64, of Vale Summit, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on Oct. 10, 1953, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late John and Betty (Rankin) Albright.
Jim retired from WMHS after 35 years of service. He graduated from Beall High School.
He loved to hunt, fish, finding mushroom and just being outdoors.
Jim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Therese ( Bunny Hovatter) Albright; children, Shannon Vitak and husband, Jacob, and Jonathan (JP) Albright; grandson, Rowan Vitak; brother, Ed Albright and wife, Debbie; sisters, Carolyn Shumake and husband, Mike, Diane Kifer, and Sherrie Hersh and husband, George. In addition, Jim leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim enjoyed Tuesday nights with his nephew, Chad and wife, Sam, and his get togethers with good neighbor and dear friend, Carl Schurg.
Jim donated his body to science and per his wishes requested no funeral services.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Jim's life will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at his home at 16906 Loartown Rd. SW, Frostburg.
Jim's family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to WMHS PCU, ICU and 7S staff.
