RIDGELEY, W.Va. - James Arthur Sisk, 80, of Ridgeley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 20, 1937, he was a son of Mason S. Sisk Sr., and Lillie B. Sisk. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Mason S. Sisk Jr.; and a sister, Janet L. Shockey-Elliott.
Jim's hobbies were golfing and billiards. He coached Little League baseball and a church league basketball. In addition, Jim was a leader of the Cub Scouts.
Jim retired from Allegany Ballistics Laboratory. He was a graduate of Allegany High School, where he played basketball. He also was a member of the Marine Reserves.
Jim attended Central Assembly of God Church. He truly was a servant of our Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Kathleen (Lepley) Sisk; his daughters, Deborah Lynn Hughes and husband, David, Liberty Hill, Texas, and Julie Ann Whitacre and husband, Ronald, Cumberland; and a son, James Derick and wife, Glenna "Cookie," Fort Ashby. Jim is also survived by eight grandchildren, Amanda Shaffer, Bethany Hughes, Roman Whitacre, Falon Whitacre, Meghan Martz, Tyler Oaks, Derick Sisk, and Taylor Sisk; and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hinkel, Noriah and Harlow Martz, and Colden Sisk.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home, Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
