Janice Kay (Hendershot) Curtis, 77, of Little Orleans, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Mar. 3, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James Claude and Eva (Shaffer) Hendershot; and the widow of Melvin A. Curtis, who died July 23, 2016.
She was a member of the Buck Valley Christian Church, in Warfordsburg, Pa.
She was a homemaker, and she loved painting, woodworking and gardening.
She is survived by two sons, Matthew Curtis and his wife, Sandy, and Greg Curtis and his wife, Julie; two sisters, Ellen Ward and Pat Thomas; two brothers, Robert Hendershot and Roger Hendershot; and four grandchildren, Charles, James, John, and Ruth Curtis.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Hendershot; and two sisters, Patience McBee and infant, Charlene Hendershot.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at 1 p.m., at the Buck Valley Christian Church, 2281 Harmonia Road, Warfordsburg, Pa., with The Rev. William Swope officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral services on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017
