Janice L. Mallow, 77, of Cumberland, passed away on Dec. 26, 2017, surrounded by those she loved and loved her.
She was born Aug. 29, 1940, to Ama "Margaret" Morin and Lawrence Iser.
Those who knew her know her door was always open, and a pot of coffee was waiting for those who just wanted to stop by and chat, or just needed cheering up. She loved to make people laugh and was giving and kind-hearted. She will be very missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mallow; mother, Margaret Morin; step-father, Harry Morin; and two sisters, Carol Toey and Victoria Adams.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina Phillips and husband Faron, Lorraine Zembower and husband Greg, Patricia James and husband A.J.; her sister, Patricia Riddle; her brothers, Daniel Iser, Harry Morin, Jr., and Ronald Morin; her grandchildren, William R. Mallow, Craig Shirey, Sabrina Dowdy, Shane Shirey, Tiffany Sweitzer, Samantha Swick, William James, and Sydney James; 13 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Janice touched are invited to visitation at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, Jan 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Benny Brakeall officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
