She graduated from Keyser High School in 1963.

Jean was a stay at home mother until her youngest daughter graduated. She then went to work at the Kensington for approximately 10 years, where she was loved by both the patients and co-workers.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She had a kind heart and a contagious smile. Throughout the lives of her children and grandchildren, she treated their friends as if they were her own children. Many of those referred to her as their second mom. Jean always put others wants and needs before her own. She never met a stranger. She loved flowers, animals, and to sing. She was the sunshine of her loved ones lives.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown, on Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 3 to 4 p.m.
